Previously referred to as The Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC)
The (Level 4) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning meets the FCA's (The Financial Conduct Authority) qualification requirements for retail investment advisers. Suitable for anyone seeking to give retail investment advice, Para planners, technical consultants and those in financial planning support roles. The qualification develops core technical knowledge and financial planning capability by covering the following essential topics;
Regulation and Ethics
Investment Principles and Risk
Personal Taxation
Pensions and Retirement Planning
Financial Protection
Financial Planning Practice
The 'Diploma' covers financial planning at a higher level than the certificate in Financial Services, making advisers better placed to offer their clients a more sophisticated and comprehensive
approach to financial management which helps to ensure a higher level of advice.
Once an adviser is qualified to 'Diploma' level, he or she can then start working towards the 'Advanced Diploma' to gain further industry knowledge.
